Preparatory Year i København

So here's a pretty exciting idea: One year of full-time preparation for higher education in dance IN COPENHAGEN. I kind of forget that a lot of people 'round here haven't got much of a clue about Denmark, but I assure you, it would be an interesting voyage, should you decide to take this road.

I must warn, the journey into Danish residency is a long and bumpy one, unless you are from the EU/EEA (which I know less about, but I think it will be much easier, if not plain easy).

So know where you stand, but aside of that, I've e-mailed back and forth with them and it makes me think I would love study there. I like that they get their students involved in the dance community outside of school context by participating in festivals and street shows.

The pre-education is specifically aimed at highly talented dancers with the ability and motivation to radically enhance their skills in contemporary dance. The students from CCDS has a strong success rate. Since the founding of the school in 2005 every student, who has wanted to continue their dance career, has been accepted either to higher dance educations or into dance companies."

Here is a few links to get to know them better and see for yourself if this is an option you'd like to consider. Their new site is beautiful!

There you go, hope this tickles your curiosity and that you look a little more into this !

Ps. I have done more research on residency in Denmark as a Non EU-EEA citizen than more probably should have, so if you have any questions, drop me a line and I'll try my best to direct you to some resources.

Vi ses snart ;)
